Isaiah Solomon

Managing Partner

Isaiah Solomon has been the managing partner of Equity Financial Service Group for more than 30 years. Mr. Solomon began his career in the financial services industry starting with a major Fortune 500 company, earning numerous awards along the way. In his first year, he was the “Rookie of the Year.” In the second, he earned the prestigious “Agent of the Year” award, competing against top producers and well-established agents. Isaiah obtained many other awards, such as the “Millionaire Round Table Producer,” “Centurion Qualifier,” “National Sales Achievement Award,” “National Qualifier Award,” “Consistency Award,” and “Sales Manager of the Year Award of the Southeast Region.”

Isaiah’s accomplishments almost never happened. At an early age, Mr. Solomon suffered from inarticulacy. Like the story of Moses in the bible, when Moses was scared that God has asked him to go to the Pharaoh and tell him to let his people go free (Ex.4:6-10). Moses wondered why God chose him to go to the Pharaoh with this request. He figured he could not speak the Egyptian language well and he also had a speech problem. But the Angel told him that he would go with him (Ex.4:11-12). Angels have also been there for Isaiah. Today, Mr. Solomon speaks to thousands on the importance of retirement income strategies. Students, business owners, and eager entrepreneurs seek out his guidance. On Saturdays, Mr. Solomon holds his weekly Life Insurance class. He engages his students with a systemic approach on how to help others choose the right insurance for their family’s needs.

Mr. Solomon gains satisfaction from aiding and assisting in helping others achieve personal financial growth in his community. Over his career he has paid more than $30 million into his community in claims and he had at one point more than $20 million dollars in assets under his management. He and his team have more than one half billion dollars in in-force business.

Mr. Solomon has been involved in many behind-the-scenes projects in the Prince George’s County, including providing coverage to the county’s libraries and court houses. In 2004, Upper Marlboro Firefighters responded to a wind-blown blaze at the 19th-century courthouse, which had been undergoing a $27 million renovation. Nearly 3½ years after the fire devastated the historic façade of the Prince George’s courthouse, county and state officials unveiled the building at a cost of $55 million.

Mr. Solomon’s long-term accomplishment is to start the “Isaiah Solomon Foundation” that will gear to help our African American youth understand money and how it works.

Mr. Solomon was born and raised on a farm in South Carolina and received his B.A. degree from Benedict College. Mr. Solomon often declares that he “is not afraid of hard work.” He credits his success to a strong family, Christian environment, his faith in God, and love for his family, friends and clients.

Mr. Solomon represents many different companies. Just to mention a few of the companies, such as Aetna, All State Life Worksite, American General, Assurity Life, Aviva, Banner Life, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Genworth, Kaiser, Life Insurance of the Southwest, Lincoln Benefit Life, Lincoln Financial Group, MassMutual, Mutual of Omaha, North America Companies, Prudential, The Hartford, and Transamerica. Additionally, Mr. Solomon is licensed in over 15 states.

Mr. Solomon, with over three (3) decades of success behind him, says he’s just getting started. His philosophy is “Mouth to movement—what you say and what you do is closely related.” He also believes that in order for a new financial professional to succeed in the business, they must have the four D’s: DRIVE, DETERMINATION, DISCIPLINE and DEDICATION.
